The Allan Labor Government is backing more local women and girls to get involved in the sport they love.

Member for Eltham Vicki Ward announced that applications for this year’s Change Our Game Community Action Grants are now open.

Now in its seventh year, this program provides grants that help local sport clubs and eligible organisations run initiatives that promote participation by women and girls.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for eligible organisations and clubs to support participation, build capability, promote gender equity and support the professional development of women volunteering and working in community sport.

This round of the program focuses on supporting initiatives that encourage the inclusion of women and girls from all backgrounds and experiences.

Applications are open until 5pm, Monday 4 March 2024. For more information on the 2022-23 Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program visit the website at changeourgame.vic.gov.au
