Local Veterans can now apply for the Veterans Card Victoria.
The Card will honour the service of Victorian Veterans by helping with cost-of-living pressures – saving hundreds of dollars every year.
All past and present ADF members living in Victoria will be eligible to receive the Veterans card through Service Victoria. Cardholders will receive:
- $100 off car registration
- Free trailer and caravan registration
- Free fishing and boating licences
- Free public transport on Anzac and Remembrance Days.
The Veterans Card Victoria will also offer access to tailored veterans’ employment programs, helping veterans smoothly transition to new work post service. The Card builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s continued commitment to our veterans – upgrading local RSLs, helping deliver the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island, and providing opportunities for veterans on our Big Build and in the public sector.
Apply for the card through Service Victoria: https://www.service.vic.gov.au/services/veterans-card-victoria or on the mobile app.
If you require assistance submitting your application, please contact Vicki Ward’s office by phone on 9439 1500 or in person at 718 Main Road, Eltham.
Quote attributable to Vicki Ward MP, Member for Eltham:
“Our Veterans deserve to be acknowledged for their contribution to our state and country. This card is one of the ways the Andrews Government is showing Veterans they are respected and honoured.”
