This year marks the 22nd year of the Premier’s VCE Awards, a ceremony that recognises and celebrates students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in VCE.
This year’s ceremony celebrated many local students including Evie Jones, Mia Zappulla, Emile Loewenguth and Liza Kelly.
- Evie Jones, St Helena Secondary College, for Health and Human Development
- Emile Loewenguth, St Helena Secondary College, for Engineering Studies (VCE VET)
- Liza Kelly, Eltham College, for Global Politics
- Mia Zappulla, Montmorency Secondary College, for Outdoor and Environmental Studies
Finishing VCE is a huge accomplishment for thousands of students across the state – and we applaud their hard work and dedication as they take the next steps after year 12.
Principal Karen Terry expressed her pride in the achievements of Evie and Emile from St Helena Secondary College, stating “St Helena is so proud of both Evie and Emile for living our college motto “Dare to be Excellent”. Few students are able to have their efforts recognized with this special achievement award, and we are so pleased that both of these young people have reaped the reward of their significant efforts.”
