The Victorian Budget is delivering a new shared use path between Greensborough and Montmorency, as well as the planning for stage two which will take users to and from Montmorency and Eltham.

This missing link between the Plenty River Trail and the Diamond Creek Trail will help connect our communities and make getting to school, work or just going for a ride that much easier and safer.

We’re making it easier for Victorians to cycle around our city and suburbs, by delivering a new walking and cycling path between Greensborough and Montmorency, making cycling safer, easing congestion, and supporting construction jobs for Victorians. 

The Victorian State Budget is providing funding for the delivery and construction of stage 1 of the Greensborough to Eltham shared use path. The announcement includes planning for Stage 2 linking Montmorency with Eltham

This budget funds construction of stage one of the Eltham to Greensborough bike path, connecting Greensborough to Montmorency and planning for stage two which will connect Montmorency to Eltham

This is part of an overall $1.5 million package by the Government to improve shared use paths within Victoria, improving walkability and providing safety and directness between suburbs.
