On 2 October 2023, State Member for Eltham, Vicki Ward, was appointed to the State Cabinet, becoming the Minister for Prevention of Family Violence and Minister for Employment.

The Allan Labor Government announced changes to the Victorian Cabinet, unveiling a new team to continue delivering on the agenda Victorians resoundingly voted for last year.

As Minister for Prevention of Family Violence, Vicki Ward will continue the important work in implementing the 227 recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

As Minister for Employment, she will work closely with Jobs Victoria, helping Victorians who face challenges finding employment become job-ready. As Minister, Ms Ward will also be responsible for the Sick Leave Guarantee, ensuring casual workers don’t have to choose between a day’s pay and their health.
