The Power Saving Bonus is back, meaning that every eligible household is entitled to a $250 payment when they compare energy providers.

This round is open for all eligible Victorians, even if you’ve claimed the bonus in previous rounds.

To claim the $250 payment, visit the website: compare.energy.vic.gov.au and follow the instructions with your latest electricity bill handy. The process is simple and should only take a few minutes to complete.

You can choose to receive the bonus as a cheque sent in the mail, or have it directly sent to your bank account.

Once the application is completed, the site provides a list of different energy providers and compares how much you could save by selecting a different energy provider or if you have already got the best deal.

If you have any questions, or would like some assistance with the process, feel free to contact Vicki Ward, Member for Eltham’s office at 9439 1500 to set up an appointment.

Quotes attributable to Member for Eltham Vicki Ward:

“This program will help drive down cost of living across the state. In previous rounds, my office helped locals find out that they were paying hundreds of dollars more than they had to. It’s important that we keep energy companies honest and competitive, so do yourself a favour, and claim your $250 power saving bonus.”
